[Who We Are]
Recovery Protocol is an independent custodial initiative dedicated to the recovery and cultivation of trees displaced by contemporary development. Operating through a distributed network of Field Offices, we develop methods for locating, recovering, cultivating, and archiving living specimens whose ecological continuity would otherwise be interrupted. We function as a research platform and artistic practice.

[What We Do]
Recovery is a practical intervention and a mode of inquiry. Each Recovery Event generates a growing body of observational records that collectively form an expanding archive of custodial knowledge.

[How We Operate]
We operate through an international network of practitioners whose expertise spans horticulture, landscape studies, archival practice, videography, tacit research, spatial analysis, installation design, and environmental sustainability.
